  1. This doesn't have to do with the current post, of M9 conducted by Rattle.

But it DOES have to do with Carlos Kleiber, after whom this blog is named.

In summer 2009, the BBC made a 45-minute radio documentary about Carlos Kleiber. In it were interviews and comments by Plácido Domingo, Christine Lemke-Matwey, Sir Peter Jonas and Charles Barber, conductor of the Vancouver (BC, Canada) City Opera and author of the book, "‘Corresponding With Carlos: A Biography of Carlos Kleiber."

The documentary was available as streaming audio for a month and then disappeared from the BBC.

However it has been uploaded to Mediafire and anyone can download it and listen. It has been downloaded almost 5,000 times!

  3. Thank you for this. On extraction however, it failed due to an incorrect password. I tried "Rattle" but that wasn't it.

  5. Clicked on the red "And the password is..." but that only led me to reload the home page. Sorry to be such a bother. If it's easier perhaps you could e-mail me the secret at foxc@sympatico.ca.

    Thanks.
