Thank you very much for this! Is this the audio portion of the Dreamlife DVD? If it is, it is absolutely the greatest Bruckner 6 I have ever heard. And if it is one of the other Kubelik/BRSO performances of the same period, I have no doubt it will be as great or greater. Again, many, many thanks!
Ah, having downloaded it I can hear that this is NOT the Dreamlife DVD audio --- the advantage of the Dreamlife recording, which is sadly out of print (it can be seen on YouTube, however) is the studio, stereo sound. While the sound on this later recording is not as good, Kubelik's interpretation is essentially the same and the BRSO is just as good. Of all of Bruckner's symphonies, this is the hardest to perform due particularly to the rhythmic complexity in the first movement and difficult tempo relations throughout. Kubelik is perhaps the only conductor to have solved these problems. Thank you so much for this performance.
Hi Maready, This is from a private pressing CD-R. But I believe this should be the same performance as the Dreamlife release. The time is exactly the same for each movement.

Thanks for clearing that up! The only Kubelik Bruckner Sixth that I have is the audio portion from the Dreamlife CD, which someone generously posted on YouTube (with the video.) The timings were different because I had split the output from YouTube into tracks manually. I'm very grateful to you for a FLAC version of this performance. Keep up the good work, both Kleiber and non-Kleiber treasures!
