When 'Carlos Kleiber Mania' started, I was delighted, but I thought, well, this will be a little more difficult than a blog dedicated to Sviatoslav Richter (for example) ---- CK only left a small number of recordings, commercial and non-commercial. Great idea to keep the focus on CK and open things up to some other great conductors, and I particularly appreciate the Kubelik recordings. This Mahler Fifth has a great reputation but I have never managed to find it before. Thank you for your generosity and hard work!
Hi Maready, Thanks for your support. It's true that it's very hard to find CK recordings especial those non-commercial ones. Even the non-mainstream commercial (Golden Melodram for example) recordings, most of they are out of print now. I will try my best to source all available CK recordings and will share here. Music is to be heard. It's a shame that many people think some rare, hard to find music only belongs to some clubs. I will fight to make those music not *owned* by some rarities. :)
Hi obertoc/Puck, Due to DMCA monitoring, I don't think there will be update in the near future on CC. I am going to consolidate most of the music I ever posted on CC here. Also Yao is not going to maintain CC anymore. Sorry about this.
