Celibidache conducts Bruckner Symphony No. 6 (Munich, 11/1991, MKV-Video)

While digitalizing my collections, I found this source material is not playable anymore. Fortunately, I still can make a lossless MKV from the original DVD-R. Thanks God! This DVD is recorded from Sky A broadcast dated as 11/1991. I didn't compare this with my Sony LD and am not sure if they are the same performance or not. Once I convert the Sony LD to digital file, it would be easier for me to compare them. Depending on response to this post, the Sony LD-to-DVD Bruckner 6th & 8th will be forthcoming.     Is this a HD recording ? almost 8G size ?! regular Dvd is about 4G. A decent mkv rip usually end up about 1 to 2G.

    ah, bandwidth is precious......

    Don't bother downloading. I found my LD-DVD conversion has much better quality than this post. I will repost it once uploaded.

    For the 6th Symphony, Celi gave only one series of concerts in the Gasteig - 26-30 November 1991. AFAIK all videos are, like the Sony Laser disc, assembled from the concerts of the 26, 27, 29 & 30. The European EMI CD is exclusively the concert of the 29th and the Toshiba EMI CD a combination of the concerts of the 27 and 29. Hope that helps. -- Progress
